Hi,
In Slideshow plugin, one can use Text or Image or Youtube as data/content. and that content can be slided in a random or regular with many animations.

I want to use TEXT only from slideshow plugin for displaying my “quote” messages or ‘Do you Know?’ messages or ‘Tips for you’ messages. The data are in the order of 1000 ‘Quote’ messages, 500 ‘Do You Know’ messages, 300 ‘Tips for You’ messages.

In a sidebar of my site https://GODnME.in, I will have each slideshow for these three components.

My first question is… Can ‘slideshow plugin’ handle 1000 data (1000 images or 1000 youtubes)?

My second question is…. Can ‘dot like pagers’ (at bottom of displayed images for navigation) be hidden thru some option in admin? if the data is 1000, then there will be huge amount of “pagers”. It wont look nice.

My third question is…. Can ‘TEXTslide’ of ‘slideshow plugin’ have text+image (html)?

Hi, in regards to your first question yes. There is no limit except what ever your server resources limit is set to.

Second question is yes you can hide those dots. Set the following Activate pagination to No “found under control settings”

Third question. Do you mean to ask if you can add images slides and text slides together in a slideshow? The answer is yes you can.

Oh My God. Then “Slideshow” is the cute and simple and best plugin in the world.

My Third question is … there will be TEXT message running in a paragraph (Do You Know? block)in which there will be small thumbnail like picture inside the text (right or left or center etc) (like we have it in post or pages)

Please clarify? Is it possible to have TEXT + IMAGE in a SINGLE SLIDE of Slideshow? If not so, can you please update your plugin so that “Slideshow” usage will be universal and multipurpose.

Anyway I m getting my THIRD requirement met by your plugin. In display setting, i am keeping “Hide description box, pop up when mouse hovers over” as “No”. This gives me TEXT + IMAGE in SINGLE SLIDE. But it would be better if you can make “TEXT”, “IMAGE”, “HTML” & “Youtube” so that in HTML slides text+images can be together.

Here, the content of the slide has text + images (html format). This is what I was calling as HTML format. Whereas in “Slideshow” plugin only TEXT slides can be created. It would be better if developer can change that to HTML option so that in the form we can insert text + images.

Currently “Slideshow” has forms (in admin) for collecting “TEXT”, “IMAGE” and “Youtube”. It would be better if that “TEXT” form can be made as “HTML” form or additionally a separate “HTML” form may please be made available.

If I get email ID of the developer (Mr Stefan) it would be better to discuss about these improvements in his plugin.

I was inserting TEXT SLIDES. It is NOT taking more than 129. I need to feed atlaest 1500 data in it. Please help me!

Can you also try the following.

Configure the PHP max_input_vars setting
These settings are sometimes available in the php.ini directive called max_input_vars
Edit the server php.ini or in some cases you can add a secondary php.ini inside the account (domain) folder.

Configure the php.ini like this:
max_input_vars = 3000

You may need to do this via .htaccess (on a shared host for instance), use:
php_value max_input_vars 3000

I made one php.ini at root (public_html) only with following text

[PHP]
max_input_vars = 10000
————
Then I edited .httaccess in the same folder by adding….. suPHP_ConfigPath /home/mydomain/public_html.
