Not directly, you should edit it by phpmyadmin, but only if you know about mysql

    Hello Dudo,

Love your plugin but I have a problem.

    I had an older version of YASR installed that was giving me some errors (page not found 404). I uninstalled the plugin, made sure the plugin directory was deleted and then went to phpmyadmin and removed the data tables. Later I installed a newer version of YASR and noticed that it still remembered the old settings. So two questions;
    1. Where are the settings stored in the event that I need to remove it completely?
    2. I now notice with this new install that it has not created any mysql tables so nothing is being remembered. What do I have to do to fix that so I can have it work properly?

    Thanks,

In phpmyadmin find the table wp_options and delete all the options that begin with prefix “yasr”

    Best,

    Hello Dudo,

Thank for the response but that is what I was trying to say above. I already did that (dropped the YASR tables in phpmyadmin) after uninstalling the plugin. The problem is that upon re-installing the plugin new mysql tables are not being created and so no votes are being stored. I have tried it both on my development site and my public site and once I removed the plugin and deleted the mysql tables I am not able to reinstall the plugin and actually store any votes. Can you tell me what I am missing?

    Any help would be appreciated..

    It’s not what I said ??

I know that you’ve dropped the yasr_ tables, but you’ve to find the wp_options table [1] and than delete the yasr_ OPTIONS [2] see the image above

    Hi Dudo,

I’m so sorry that I did not get it the first time. I will try that and then try re-installing your plugin. I’m using a different star rating plugin right now but I liked yours better. I’ll let you know how it goes.

    Thanks,

OK… I was able to delete the options in the mysql table. I then re-installed the plugin and did notice that new YASR- tables were created in the database. So far so good…. However whenever I try to test it by doing some visitor ratings I get a “security check” warning and the rating is not saved. I am using hyper-cache for caching. Will caching be a problem, as far as you know?

    Thanks,

After I cleared the caches it started working but one last issue is that the stars don’t show up on android browsers. I tried dolphin, UC and Opera browsers and the stars don’t show up. Is there a way to fix that?

    Thanks,

    It work on my android…

That is strange. On my Android you can rate but it does not register. In other words when you go back to the site on the desktop the rating has not changed. Well anyway thanks for the help…. Great plugin!
