Possible to Add Subcategories from Write Post page?

  • Hi. I’m unable to find any documentation or forum posts on this. It’s possible to add categories for a post “on the fly” from the Write Post page by typing the new cat name and clicking Add in the side column.

    Is is possible to also add subcategories? Is there a secret character(s) you can type to signal you’re adding a subcategory?

    For example:
    ParentCat>>SubCatName

    I’m guessing there isn’t, but thought I’d ask anyway.

  • You can add them as full categories, write your post, then change them to sub-categories later under Manage -> Categories. But I guess you knew that :).
