    Hey guys,

The link I provided is one of 200K pages that have been created in one day. Here is what happened:

    – I had two users from domains 126.com join the forum, however, I immediately deleted the users before they had the chance to do anything.
    – I use MOZ.com to monitor the sites I have, and today it told me that I have 200K new issues. All of them are pages created through the Forum. I went to the settings page but did not see any issues.

I cleared all the cache, etc, and the problem still persists.

Any help on how to remove those pages? I don’t see them anywhere, but Moz still sees them and I can click to the pages…

    Cheers,
    Adam

    Hi adamzeibak,
I don’t see any spam page. Please check the attachments. Maybe there are some spam attachment in wpForo. Just navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Tools admin page and check the “Possible Spam Attachment” section. if it’s empty then all is ok.
wpForo is well protected against spam, it has many tools in Dashboard > Forums > Tools > Antispam admin page. It has new registered user controlling options, built-in spam suspicion functions, built-in reCAPTCHA, integration with Akismet and it sets new posts status as Unapproved if the author is not a known user. Unapproved posts are not available for search engines and for other users. Only admin can see and moderate them.
So, spammers have no chance to publish spam content on wpForo, if it’s well configured.

Thank you for your quick and detailed reply. You are correct, there a lot of features that do not allow spam, however, 200K pages have been created since these users registered (even though I deleted those users). I even asked Moz.com to recrawl the site and they are still there.

The page I shared with you does not contain spam, however, it is a page that I did not create. Tens of Thousands of duplicate pages have been created. Is there any way to delete them?

    Thanks again!

These are not spam URLs. These are RSS Feed URLs. They are different on each Recent Post Page. They are being changed every day. You can find those in Recent Post page.

If you want to disable RSS feed, just navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features admin page and disable the accordion option.

Thanks. I’ll disable RSS feed and see if that gets rid of those pages.
