Possible Plugin conflict with iThemes Security

    Hi,

    Thanks for this plugin. I’ve just launched a site using it here https://emilsher.com

    But when I activated iThemes security the tweets don’t show. They show for logged in admins but otherwise not. I think the problem is related to this jQuery setting in iThemes Security.

    Replace jQuery With a Safe Version Enqueue a safe version of jQuery
    Remove the existing jQuery version used and replace it with a safe version (the version that comes default with WordPress).
    Your current jQuery version is 1.11.3.
    Note that this only checks the homepage of your site and only for users who are logged in. This is done intentionally to save resources. If you think this is in error click here to check again. This will open your homepage in a new window allowing the plugin to determine the version of jQuery actually being used. You can then come back here and reload this page to see your version.

    Can you please have a look? Are you using the version of jQuery that ships with WordPress?

    Hi Ruth,

    I see in console one error:
    Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 414 (Request-URI Too Long)

    I can assume that iThemes Security plugin is limiting number of characters that can be sent in request. I have never used this plugin so I can’t be sure.

    I suggest that you check in plugin settings if there are options related to this URI length.

    I turned these off:

    Filter Long URL Strings
    Limits the number of characters that can be sent in the URL. Hackers often take advantage of long URLs to try to inject information into your database

    Filter Suspicious Query Strings in the URL
    These are very often signs of someone trying to gain access to your site but some plugins and themes can also be blocked.

    That fixed it

    I know that probably it’s a good idea to enable it but unfortunately URI is too long because of parameters and you will need to have these features disabled.
