• Hi Everyone,
    My website is nancych.com

I recently bought and installed this theme: https://themeforest.net/item/simplicity-creative-flat-retina-theme/5477244

    theme demo page here: https://themeforest.net/item/simplicity-creative-flat-retina-theme/full_screen_preview/5477244

My issue is that, the theme is not working in my website.
All my previous themes were working perfect, this one doesn’t.

I checked with Chrome, Firefox and IE.
Firefox shows nothing, IE and Chrome show only the slider and the menu, but the menu doesn’t work and the slider looks distorted, but at least works.

I contacted the theme creator but after 4 days all they told me is “I import demo content in your site. But you have some javascript error, i think you don’t upload all file to your server.”

I tried deleting everything and reinstalling everything. Swithhed to another theme and the other theme worked perfectly. Switched back, and nothing worked, so I’m sure it’s a theme issue.
I’m also sure I uploaded all the files (uploaded with FTP)

Anyone please help, if you need more info please let me know.
    Many thanks

To be sure that you have uploaded all the files correctly by FTP, switch to the default 2013 theme, delete your (now inactive) theme & upload the files again. Also check that you have all the WordPress files uploaded correctly in a similar way. It sounds like you have been around this loop already, which would point towards there possibly being a problem with the theme.

As commercial themes are not supported here, you need to go back to the vendor as supporting their theme is their responsibility.

Thank you very much cubecolour, I will try that ??
If I delete the theme, won’t the demo content they installed be deleted too?

I’m not counting on them for help, I don’t think they want to help.
The website support was trying to convince me that the theme was tested by them and is actually working 100%, and maybe that’s how it is, but shouldn’t they at least be willing to help?

I think this forum is my last hope for help… :/

I don’t know anything about the demo content as I don’t have any access to the theme, so that would be a question for the vendor’s support.

I did have a look at the demo of the theme, and it looks like their demo is running on WordPress 3.6, so comparability shouldn’t be a problem, but then it crashed safari on my iPad so I didn’t look any further.

I know, there are many users complaining about the browsers crashing, maybe I should just ask for a refund and buy another theme.

I don’t know if it’s allowed, but if you need to check any files I can supply them.(if the forum allows it)

    Thank you

Thank you, I think I will ask for a refund. If they don’t accept, I’ll leave this post open in case someone is able to help.
    Thank you ??
