• Hi

Some strange behaviour that I’ve not seen in over a year using the plugin.

Uploading large (4000px wide) images, these are being duplicated from filename.jpg to filename-scaled.jpg – presumably by WordPress. I can still crop images using the plugin, but there seems to be some possible conflict between filename-widthxheight.jpg and filename-scaled-widthxheight.jpg. In the ‘Crop Featured Image’ modal, I crop an image and save it, and all is well. If I then save the Post and return to the ‘Crop Featured Image’ modal, the default cropping area has returned to the middle of the image, and not the crop I previously selected.

    Thanks for looking.

    hi @marknjones,
i had a look on the problem. Its the new feature that is added in WordPress 5.3. The system automatic resized the image but leave a copy of the original file.

I fixed the naming. The fix will be deployed with the next release (1.2.6).
You may test the next release by downloading the master from the github-repo:
