Hi. First the plugin works very well, so congratulations.

Secondly, as recommendations and I think they are useful for users:

1.- ChatGPT AI has the habit of capitalizing the first letter of each word of the titles inside the articles.

This could be remedied by adding to the “prompt” something like “When translating titles, only the first letter of the first word should be capitalized.”

Note: Youtube videos, when translating, do not pass the embed code to the new translated post. I understand that by adding something in the prompt could be solved.

2.- We should have the option to publish the translation in “Draft” or “definitely”. Most of us change different things in the translation before publishing the article or page definitively.

I recommend adding the option to incorporate the Groq.com API. The translations with Llama 3.3 70B or llama3-70b are quite good and in the free version of the API are 500,000 tokens. More than enough for many users not to spend money on ChatGPT.

Best regards and thanks for this fantastic plugin.

Hi. First the plugin works very well, so congratulations.

    Thank you!

This could be remedied by adding to the “prompt” something like “When translating titles, only the first letter of the first word should be capitalized.”

I’m considering whether to let customize the prompt, so in case anyone could adjust it depending on specific needs.

Note: Youtube videos, when translating, do not pass the embed code to the new translated post. I understand that by adding something in the prompt could be solved.

I’m not sure I get it. What is the problem with videos? You mean you would strip the embed code from the source text (the one to be translated)? The first version of this plugin worked by translating single blocks so it was easier to control what to translate and what to skip. However, that method was slower and especially each block was treated separately from other ones so ChatGPT missed the whole context of what it was translating. Now that we have more tokens available for input and output and the model is more intelligent, I pass the whole markup.

2.- We should have the option to publish the translation in “Draft” or “definitely”. Most of us change different things in the translation before publishing the article or page definitively.

You’re right! Added to task list ??

Thank you, will check it for sure!

    Hello.

    1. Regarding allowing users to customize the prompt:

In my opinion, your prompt is very good and works excellently. At most, I would only add the phrase I mentioned before.

As for letting users customize the prompt, I would just include a small box for them to exclude certain elements from the translation at their own discretion, if this is possible.

By doing so, you’ll prevent users from constantly asking in the forum: “What’s the best prompt?” “How should I set it up?” and so forth.

    1. About the videos:

For example, my translation is from Spanish to English. In Spanish, I have a video, but when I perform the translation, the English version does not include the video (the embedded code doesn’t appear). In this particular case, it doesn’t bother me, but for other languages, say from English to Swiss, I would like to keep the same video.

Note: This happens in my translations and tests. I don’t know if it only happens to me.

    1. About Groq:

The translations are very, very fast, as you’ll see. However, I wanted to mention that in the free version there is a maximum number of tokens per minute (I believe it’s 6000), but it’s still totally worth it.

    1. The interlinking:

The interlinking works wonderfully. As a suggestion to improve it even further, it would be fantastic to have an option to regenerate the interlinking (internal links for articles or pages) directly from the already translated articles/pages or even on a massive scale.

Let me explain: If you start a website from scratch, the interlinking created by the plugin is perfect. However, when you’re translating an already established website with hundreds or thousands of articles, some internal links may not be updated at first because the new URLs didn’t exist at the time of translation.

Therefore, once all the translations are completed, it would be very useful to have a button or feature to regenerate the interlinking. This way, all internal links would automatically adjust to the corresponding URLs in the new language, saving a huge amount of time and effort.

This is just an idea, and I’m not sure if it’s feasible.

    ——————-

I won’t bother you anymore jajaja. I just want to contribute something of value because I think you have a very good plugin. With a few extra details, you could really stand out from the competition.

    Regards.
