Possible hack? Site looping…

  • Hi All,

    My client has this site https://reelthoughtfilms.com

    It is no longer loading, and is on a constant loop for a link that does not exist.

    I’m not sure what information I can provide, but I can try and offer advice based on any questions.

    This has thrown me off, and I just can’t work out what it could be.

  • Your site is redirecting your signup page. Using an ftp editor back up then delete the .htaccess file in your main directory. See if this lets you logon. If so go to settings -> permalinks and save.

    If not then Please disable or delete all plugins and switch to the default theme (TwentyEleven since 3.3). To do this rename the plugins folder to plugins-bak and rename the active theme folder.

    After making these changes does the problem still occur? If no, re-enable everything one by one to see which component causes the problem.

    Next you need to update to the latest version of WordPress 3.4.2.

    Given that you are using a slightly older version of WordPress, it’s possible that your site has been hacked.
