Possible bug in excerpt

Hello,
First off– nice plugin.
But, I’ve encountered an issue with the very first post in the grid.The excerpt of this post always seems to start with “caret-down caret-up caret-left caret-right”. What could be the reason for this?

I managed to workaround this issue by adding the excerpt twice (only the first one had the caret text) and changing the css of that one to have no padding and a text size of 0.You can see that the text is still there when you search for it @ inspect element.

No, I did not ‘fix’ the issue. I found a ‘dirty’ work-around (which is good enough for me).
I don’t know what a filter hook is, so unless I used it by accident… I don’t think that I use it.
I kept most of setting on default, only changed some of the CSS boxes (to make the text larger, so nothing complicated).
EDIT: Did you look at the screenshot from my reply? The text I’m talking about is clearly visible there… Can’t miss it ??
