    Hi.

A client of me reported, that they have a very specific bug in what i think is caused in combination with Litespeed. I cant test it fully because i dont have a andriod, and my phone nor desktop are both Iphone 7 / Windows 10 X64.

Situation: Client runs a woocommerce based shop with litespeed. Everything checks in just fine. However when a visitor lands on a specific product page, and is fast enough to select the Quantity to the largest number, i.e 1KG, the actual price for that quantity is’nt added but rather the cheapest of them all. Result? Backend shows a order for the 1KG product while client only pays for the 19,95 product.

He wrote tho that if you want long enough the correct price does show up, but appearantly there’s a time in between that it does’nt and you can order the most expensive product while having the base price for it.

The server itself seems OK in configuration and load, we dont really see irregularities. It’s a very specific (android) caused bug. The user who reported this surfed using wireless / 500MBit connection. And even from here from Portugal to my own server(s) in Holland i cant seem to reproduce the problem myself either.

I advised the client to always verify the order / quanitity / given price, and not just blindly start packing and shipping items. Is there a setting that i can enforce the proper caching per product and that we dont get these weird situations?

    Hi,

Could you please provide the report number ? you can get it in toolbox -> report -> click “send to LiteSpeed”

and steps for how to reproduce/trigger the issue ?

Does it work fine with cache plugin OFF ?

Do you enable “cache REST API” ? if so , please try disable it and see how it goes

It’s product “2864” , or simply put Phenibut.

I tried to reproduce the issue, but i think my computer has way to much horsepower compared to a andriod, let alone that my iphone 7 renders faster.

A visitor was able to select the most expensive quantity (i.e 216 euro, vs 19.95 for the cheapest) and be billed only for 19.95.

I’ve disabled object cache; but why should this cause an issue? We want to offload the DB as much as possible to retain speed.

    Hi,

I tried to reproduce the issue, but i think my computer has way to much horsepower compared to a andriod, let alone that my iphone 7 renders faster.

you can enable Chrome , developer tool -> set throttle on connection to fast 3G or slow 3G

on which process it gets wrong price ?

this is what I did , tried on computer and android

    1. go to that Phenibut , select 25KG , it shows 3949 euros

    2. add it to cart , then go to “cart” or “checkout” page, both shows 3949 on me.

    3. I also click around some shipment and payment selection , but the product prices always stick on 3949 on me

but why should this cause an issue?

I don’t know if it would cause issue or not , just trying some most common causes.

I have seen some plugins that doesn’t update/delete cached datas in certain circumstances and leaves wrong or outdated data.

    Client wrote me,

“Kies 100g, en klik op ‘Add to cart’ vóórdat de prijs zichtbaar wordt.”

    Translation for you:

“Choose 100G, and click on Add to cart before the price appears visible”

So it gets added into cart, but not taxed for that amount as the 100g item was set for.

I’ve updated lots of things in the backend as well; large updates we always verify since themes and all that could possibbly get broken.

Ill ask him to verify again if it is possible still.
