Possibility to use on default WP featured image

  • Hi, is it possible to use the functionality (namely manual cropping to aspect ratio and hiding cropped thumbnails in the media library) in WordPress featured image selection dialog, not only ACF fields?

  • Not exactly, but a work around for doing this is to attach an ACF field group with a single field called Featured Image and then name the field _thumbnail_id. Then at the bottom of the field groups settings, choose to hide the featured image. This will make it so that only your ACF field group shows up.
