• We’re working with a gift shop/coffee bar to implement ecommerce. They have an existing POS and inventory system which is very good, but it’s not cloud based. I envision a WooCommerce POS and payment system that would replace what’s already in store and completely integrate online. Inventory synced. It would need to work in Canada, with our 2 taxes and payment systems.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks in advance.

(And if I’m posting this in the wrong place, please direct me to where. Also thanks.)

  • Hi @2mooses,

Thanks for reaching out! You mentioned the store has an existing POS/inventory system, but it isn’t cloud-based. Are they looking to replace it? To integrate with any WooCommerce site, there would either have to be an automated connection or some type of regular exporting/importing of data.

There are POS systems like Square that you can use with WooCommerce if they’re looking to switch.

Let us know a bit more about what they want to do and that’ll help us see if there are any other options.

    Cheers

    Thanks @3sonsdevelopment
I think they wouldn’t be looking to replace it right away, but long term it would be cumbersome to have 2 separate POS systems. I think the existing will export, but haven’t tested it. We have looked at Square, but the reviews are not good for the POS/inventory part of things.

So I guess what we might be looking for is a smooth transition for the long term, something that will accept imports from the existing standalone system, while we run the two concurrently, but a system that will eventually just become The One.

    Does that help?
