POS integration. From Android, send invoice via SMS or Whatsapp

I’ve looked up and down at the 20 most used POS WooCommerce integrations and I have not found a solution for my use case.

I want to use an Android tablet as a POS station. I want to send all receipts via SMS or Whatsapp. Similar to Square where you can just enter a phone number (or email address) at checkout without having to create a customer. Creating a customer takes time, and customers do not typically like to provide all the required fields when they’re purchasing in person. A full-fledge android app is not necessary, through the browser would not be a dealbreaker.

The problem I am running into is that at checkout I only have the option to send via email. Sometimes creating a customer profile is required, other times is not. I have thought of using a plugin to send SMS or WhatsApp messages but that comes with their own cons.

2 another service to pay and to keep track of messages if the customer ever tries to reach out via SMS
3 the customer may not be able to just call the number shown in the SMS.
4 usually invoices are PDF only so you cant send that via SMS.

It would be much easier if a POS plugin would offer a way to share a link right at checkout. You could use the native share functionality from android, then you can select your SMS or WhatsApp app and send it that way.

Probably through the native share functionality of android. Deal breakers: having to create a customer profile or using a service like Twilio.
