Portuguese site… Port/Eng backend

  • I have not installed wp yet but i would like to create an ecom site in Brazilian Portuguese and have the backend in both english and portuguese.

    1. Do i need to look for an ecom theme that supports portuguese characters? eg. ? ? á [hope you can see those]. Or do i have to somehow change the doctype for each page created to support the characters?

    2. Can I install wordpress so that backend users can choose their preferred language upon entry? or better still set up users to see their preferred language upon login. [i’m better with english whilst my clients are better with portuguese].
