    We have an VPS hosting with SiteGround. We contacted them and they opened ports 6443 & 8443 for all IPs. But it is still showing the error message in Settings page. Please help.

    FYI, we are trying with sandbox account with sandbox mode checked.

    All IPs, or just the Woo – CardConnect IPs?

    Make sure you have them open the ports 8443 && 6443 for the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of “fts.cardconnect.com” – CardConnect’s Woo info page has not been updated to show this info, and the IPs listed there will be changing.

    Here is a copy of the ticket I put in for some of our SiteGround accounts:

    Due to a payment gateway requirement, we need all of our hosting accounts to have the following address and ports opened in the firewall, for both incoming and outgoing, for merchant account processing:

    fts.cardconnect.com:6443
    fts.cardconnect.com:8443

    Hi,

    Thank you for your response.

    We have reached out to SiteGround Support Team and below is the response:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I have double checked the case and can confirm that the ports were successfully opened towards fts.cardconnect.com:
    Code:
    [~]# telnet fts.cardconnect.com 6443
    Trying 69.164.93.9…
    Connected to fts.cardconnect.com.
    Escape character is ‘^]’.
    [~]# telnet fts.cardconnect.com 8443
    Trying 69.164.93.9…
    Connected to fts.cardconnect.com.
    Escape character is ‘^]’.
    What I can suggest in the current situation is deactivating all other plugins by keeping the CardConnect one and then checking it again. If you still see the error reach the plugin devs by sending them my reply so they can check thing further.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    – Then we deactivated all plugins except WooCommerce and CardConnect Payment Gateway. But the message is still showing.

    Hmm. Unfortunately, we cannot log in to your hosting account or get creds for it via this public forum. If you would reach out to your CardConnect rep, and tell them the situation, and have them put you in direct contact with us (the developer for this plugin) via a support ticket, they should be able to get creds from you and send them on to me. That may be worth a shot.

    If you’re using a VPS, and are on a linux machine with WHM installed, perhaps you need to check your firewall setting in there?

    What’s the exact message? Screen cap? The sandbox is a specific setting given to you by card connect. I think actually everyone gets the same settings for sandbox and 6443 is only what sandbox uses

    for starters “Site” should just be “fts”

    I don’t have my sandbox credentials saved so not sure about that, but you do need to change the site to just say fts

    @ccolotti Is right. It should be just “fts”

    That should solve your problem.

    @rexak maybe worth just forcing that field in the plugin on install? keep it editable but set the default setting? I think I have seen threads with this same issue before, or just add a note under the field.

    @ccolotti Yessir….We were discussing the same this morning.
    It may be even removed altogether, to prevent confusion in the future, if fts continues to be the only subdomain CardConnect will use. We’ll need to confirm with CardConnect first.

    Appreciate you watching the forums and helping out when you can.

    @ccolotti Thanks it works.
