Portfolios showing up cut off on initial page load

Mine is not showing up properly in Chrome, Safari, but is OK in Firefox. When the page first loads, the thumbnails don’t show up, they are cut off. Once you click a category, it loads fine however.
It is usually only on the first load of the page.
What do you suggest I do or is it a code issue?
