Portfolio widget displaying all posts regardless of setting

All my posts are showing up on my home/portfolio page, even though I have entered “12” in the widget “number of posts” setting.

I am using a child theme but have the same issue when I switch to the Klasik framework theme as well. And I have deactivated all my plugins to no avail.
