Not sure what is causing this conflict. Disabling the plugin resolves the issue (none of the images for a portfolio appear in the slideshow editor). Downgrading from v2.2.4.2 to earlier versions down to v2.2.3.1 doesn’t seem to make any difference. Weird…

    Hi Bruce,

Have you reported this to the developer of that plugin? Have you checked for JavaScript errors in the browser console?

Plugin conflicts happen when plugin developers do not follow the WordPress plugin development rules. We strictly adhere to those rules but it’s possible the developer of the Portfolio plugin did not.

Only Javascript errors appear to be related to TinyMCE. Support request submitted to Portfolio Slideshow Pro developer. Hopefully, he can resolve this.

    Hi Bruce,

What’s the URL for the web page where you have the slideshow?

The problem is in the backend admin interface.

Ok, so it’s that TinyMCE JavaScript issue. Something is breaking and killing JavaScript so the Portfolio plugin can’t run JavaScript. The error message in the browser error console may say what line of code in what file is breaking.

I’m having a similar issue. Were you able to find a solution to the problem Bruce?

    Hi Alex,

We never heard anything more about this but we’ve seen this issue before. The way to troubleshoot this is to edit any page or post where this is happening, open the browser error console and then perform the action that causes the error. Check the browser error console for any errors and let us know what those errors are.

Sorry, but I am not quite sure where to find the browser error console.

I use Google Chrome so the instructions are right-click anywhere on the page to bring up the right-click menu, select Inspect Element, then select the Console tab.

Okay, I got that far. I also use Google Chrome.

Actually, I just saw a screen options dropdown menu and if I uncheck the All in One SEO option, it looks like everything pops back up for me to be able to edit again.

That’s fine but it doesn’t resolve the underlying issue. If you still need help with that then let us know.
