Portfolio or Lightbox with Multiple Albums on Page

  • I am trying to create a lightbox with multiple albums. I have set up portfolio items with a feature image in each one and categorized them. I can get all of the images to appear in the portfolio (molliebush.com/portfolio), however I can’t figure out how to get just one representative image in each category to appear on the page, so that when you click on the image you get a slideshow of images from just that category. I have tried using NextGen Gallery, but that did work (molliebush.com/nextgen-gallery).

  • so, you have a linked images (linked to slideshows) and you just want the images on a page? like a gallery?

    Yes. I would like a gallery, but not not of all 50 images.

    I only want one image from each category to appear on the page. For example: 50 images that are from 10 different categories–only 10 images would appear on the page. When you click on the image that represents that category then a slideshow would open in a frame with the rest of the images in that category.

    The NextGen Gallery plugin appears to sort of do what I want, but the navigation is a little funky and the thumbnails don’t fit on the page correctly. I would like the page to look like the Portfolio page on my site. I have examples of both pages (Portfolio & NextGen Gallery) on my site – molliebush.com

    Doesn’t sound like you have images linked to slideshows as deepbevel says, try searching that?

    Yes, it would seem all that would need to be done is embed the linked images. You can use a table to create a layout of linked images that looks like a wp image gallery.
