    I assumed that the number (16) is the number of words in the post excerpt.
    I reduced it and it works perfectly.

    virtue version 2.3.0
    wordpress 4.0.1

    When I update settings through Appearance -> Customize -> Widgets -> Sidebar
    all the background color settings are lost in Appearance -> Theme options -> advanced styling -> content background color / heading background color / mobile background color / footer background color ……

    Is it due to the new Virtue version ?

    Is Virtue toolkit 2.1 compatible with WordPress 4.1 ?

    Hey, sorry your question above was never answered. In the future please start a new thread. Sometimes threads get looked over when they’re marked resolved.
    To answer your questions, the updated version of virtue should not be causing conflicts. Are you settings working properly now? And yes, Virtue/Pinnacle toolkit is compatible with WordPress 4.1 ??
