    Hello,

I’ve installed your plugin and it works well for the tags of an item of Portfolio but it doesn’t show the categories.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi there Albertesga !
Thank you for using Show Post Categories.

Your experiences are perfectly normal. The current SPC release is not fully ready for custom taxonomy. This is one of the many new features I have been working on in the past. Unfortunately this new release has been put on hold for some time now due to other priorities.

There is however some good news! Some required code is already in place, but it would need a new attribute to function properly.

    So I can provide you with two options;
A – I can try to patch this and release it after succesfull testing. ETA: this weekend
B – I can provide you with instructions on how to overwrite a part of the code (however this will make the plugin useless for normal use – so emergency case only : )

Let me know what works for you.

    Thank you very very much,

It is not an emergency, so the option A is good for me ??

    Hello Albertesga,

I’ve been working on the code. Being honest I had more work to find a decent Portfolio & Taxonomy manager plugin : )

There is a developers version available for download. I wanted to ask if you could download, install & try this one before I release it.
Just to make sure it works fine with Portfolio as I have little experiences with it..

Got an additional question; I′ve added code for Categories only. But I think I can make it work for Tags too.
Would you like it if I implemented this feature at once?

BTW, if you are not familiar with developer version; you got to: here At the bottom it lists “Other Versions” and the first hit should be “Development Version”. Download the Zip onto your desktop.
Remove the current “Show Post Categories” plugin & then install using the Zip file.

Please let me know how it works out. I′ll try to verify this build in the coming days too!

    Have a nice evening.

Ohh, I forgot: use this code to activate the custom taxonomy
    [show_post_categories show="category" taxonomy="YOUR PORTFOLIO TAXONOMY"]

Myself, I used a plugin called “Taxonomy Tools” to find out the right Taxonomy name..

    Hello,

I′ve just released the newest version on SVN; your WordPress install should prompt an update.
Once installed it will show Tag/Category from the custom Portfolio. No more additional “taxonomy” code required to make life easier : )

If you are happy with the solution, please be so kind to leave a review.

    bye!
