Hi,

Thank you very much again for the great plugin!

We have still problem with iDEAL local payment solution.

As we see, the plugin needs enabled popup windows in the browswer. We setup very detailed failure message for this issue, but the customer doesn’t see the fairure message or cannot enale the popups or wouldnt’t like to enable it, therefore, we lose a lot of customer, we also see the shopping cart abandonments.

Please be so kind and help to fix the problem! Is there any way to awoid the popup need in case of iDEAL? It would be very important, because it is a Dutch shop and the iDEAL payment method is very popular.

@webreneszansz the solution requires the use of the PayPal pop up window and there’s no getting around it. That’s how Braintree’s integration works.

If for whatever reason you’re losing sales because they don’t want to enable a pop-up, then maybe take a look at another solution.

Our Stripe plugin uses a page redirect for local payment methods like iDeal.

Unfortunately, Stripe doesn’t support the region of the client.

Stripe is supported in the Netherlands. You previously said your client was running a Dutch shop.

Hi,

Yes, you are right, it is a Dutch shop, but the seat of the shop owner is currently in Romania, therefore Stripe doesn’t work, unfortunately.

Did you have Stripe confirm that for you? It may have more to do with where the business is incorporated.
