Popup open only once

Hi,

I created a popup that open when hitting a button.
I hit the button a 1st time: a background overlay and the popup appear. I close the popup.
I hit the button a 2nd time: the background overlay appear but not the popup. I can still hit escape to make the background disappear.
To make the popup re-appear, I need to refresh the page before hitting the button.

Is there a way to make it appear a 2nd time without having to refresh the page?
