Popup on link and Google Tag Manager
-
Hello, for the past few days I have had the following issue:
- This page has a google tag manager script in the <head>: https://hautlescours.fr/cours-diy/anais-nicolas-ceramique/
- On this page clicking on the pink button “Contacter le prof” should open a popup form (the button is also an hyperlink which is used as a fallback and leads to a page containing the form).
- Since recently, after clicking on the pink button the popup doesn’t open and one navigates to the target of the link.
- You may have to empty your cache/cookies for the problem to arise.
- This page doesn’t have a google tag manager script: https://hautlescours.fr/cours-arts-plastiques/sculpture-modelage/philippe-sculpture-arcueil/
- Clicking on the same pink “Contacter le prof” button causes the popup to appear, which is the expected behavior.
This has been working for years but not lately.
Caveat: I made a few changes (plugins and code) to my website recently but the only way I found to stop the problem was to remove the Google Tag Manager script.
