  • Hello, I’m having difficulties too, I already updated the links and tried anonymous browsing, could you check it out?

Here is an example page where links can be found: https://eduradiadores.com.br/gmv-gol-parati-saveiro-com-ar-gm-7062-0/

and here is an image of exactly where they are: https://imgur.com/a/axae6NZ

Sorry for any typo, I used google translator.

    Hi @gurimag

Can you try to disable the caching plugin first?

I can’t find the javascript that we added in the new plugin version. That is the cause why the popup doesn’t appear.

Yes, I’ve also tried Incognito mode and I have added the code from the “Open” field.

    @luciche I checked your link:

    Alege Localitatea

Looks like it’s not a valid URL. That’s why it doesn’t work. Please re-copy the URL.

From what I’ve seen, you can remove the “%3D” at the end of your URL. It made the URL not valid when decoded.

    Hmm, can you this:

Create an Elementor button on your page and fill the link with Dynamic action to open the Popup.

If that button works on frontend, you can copy the button link to your chat widget link. And also please check if the generated URL is same with our plugin generated URL.

    luciche

    (@luciche)

    It worked.

The elementor button has this link:

    %23elementor-action%3Aaction%3Dpopup%3Aopen%26settings%3DeyJpZCI6IjExMDY1IiwidG9nZ2xlIjpmYWxzZX0%3D

and your plugin has this link:

    #elementor-action%3Aaction%3Dpopup%3Aopen%20settings%3DeyJpZCI6IjExMDY1IiwidG9nZ2xlIjpmYWxzZX0%3D

so the only difference is the # vs %23

I’ve replaced the # with %23 and now it works. Thanks for your help

    (@luciche)

Also, the open%20settings works like so open&settings

@sukiwp When disabling the cache plugin the popup returned to work, I will check the cache settings. Thank you very much for your attention

    Thanks @luciche for checking!

There is one more difference, which is “%26” and “%20”, right after the “open” text. I think this is the real problem. Not sure how it ended up encoded as “%20” in your installation. In our local development site, it’s “%26”.

As for the “#” and “%23” difference, we already add a compatibility javascript, so it should work fine I guess.

We will do more few tests on this.

@gurimag What caching plugin do you use?

In the new version, we added an inline javascript right after where the Elementor frontend javascript enqueued.

You might want to check your caching plugin and see if it supports merging and minifying inline javascript.

In case do you looking proper solution: How to make custom link for Elementor popup triggering for almost anything? It worth to try native Elementor method: popup linking via CSS classes.

    Read this article: https://docs.elementor.com/article/578-how-to-trigger-a-popup-from-a-nav-menu-item

@0618-2 Yes you can use the selector option from Elementor’s Popup settings itself.

This is just a free plugin that provides another method to trigger Elementor’s popup. Feel free to use the method that works best for you.

Tries incognito on Chrome and Firefox. Same result. Clicking a button that should open the popup just opens https://mysite.com/#elementor-action%3Aaction%3Dpopup%3Aopen%26settings%3DeyJpZCI6IjExNzY3IiwidG9nZ2xlIjpmYWxzZX0%3D

REmoving and reinstalling plugin had no effect
Creating a new popup from scratch had no effect.

The only thing left for me is to migrate my website completely to Elementor.

    Hi @hesselwellema

Can you share your site URL?

In order to make the trigger links to work, please make sure that you have set the Display Conditions to enable the popup on your desired pages.
