It seems the plugin automatically updated to Hustle from the previous popup plugin we were using (or it has had a major overhaul and looks completely different to a month ago). The popup no longer displays on the site correctly. I get an overlay background and a close icon, but no content for the popup. How can this be resolved?

    Hello @codeflex,

    Hope you’re doing well!

The plugin has been updated to Hustle, which is improved version of the WordPress PopUp plugin.

I get an overlay background and a close icon, but no content for the popup. How can this be resolved?

Please check for any JS errors in the developer’s console. If you view your site in chrome, on a page where popup should show, right click anywhere and choose “inspect element” to see the errors there, under the “console” tab.

Also, please share a link to your site so we could see a popup up close.

    Please advise,

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

The same issue on my site. After recent update the pop up does not display, only the screen remains dimmed, but no pop up content shows up. I went through various topics, finnaly found cache issue related. Turned off W3 Total Cache and my hustle pop up is back! Unfortunately I need W3 Total Cache. Turned on W3 Total cache and Hustle stop working again. There was no issue with former Popup plugin.

Additionally, I saw the topic where dynamic cache enabled was suggested, but I have no clue how to set it up in W3 Total Cache.

Hi, it can be tested on https://www.paleomazing.com/testpage/

There are js errors/warnings on external js however these don’t seem to be related

    Hello there,

@captooori please let me know if the minification feature is enabled on your site?

I’ve tested the Hustle plugin along side with W3 Total Cache and the Custom Content popup is working from my end. Though the W3 Total Cache has many features, if one of them is causing this, we would like to know which one so we could fix that.

@captooori would you please export your W3 Total Cache current configuration from Performance > General Settings and share the link to it here?

@codeflex do you have the W3 Total Cache plugin on your site as well?

    Please advise,

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

    Hi Nastia,
I believe the only plugin with minification feature is W3 Total Cache. The link is https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24818528/settings.json

    Thank you

    Hello there!

@codeflex Please let me know what version of the PHP your server is running. This information can be found on your cPanel.

Can you replicate the same issue with Hustle with all the other plugins deactivated and with the default WordPress theme?

    • Deactivate all other plugins
    • Switch to WordPres default theme, for example Twenty Seventeen
    • Check if the PopUp is showing up
    • If everything is well, activate one plugin at a time to find the one that causes this.
    • This whole process should take less than 5 minutes.

@captooori Thank you for sharing the plugin’s settings with us. I can confirm that the issue is caused by W3 Total Cache minification feature and forwarded it to our developers so they can have a closer look.

      Kind regards,
      Nastia

Hi Nastia, did you have a chance to test the settings?

    (@codeflex)

    Hi, running php version 5.3.22.

I get the same result when deactivating all plugins (except Hustle) and running the twentyseventeen theme. This does not fix it.

@captooori We released version 5.0.1 today with a lot of compatibility fixes including W3 Total Cache. Please update and let us know if this helps resolve your issue.

    Hi jdailey
thank you for information. It works ?? however not stright away, but after I made some steps: 1) Purge all cache in W3, next 2) deactivate pop up content (not plugin) and activate again. I hope it will still work, I have not much time to test it today.

I checked and it works also on IE and Chrome.

    Thank you

Hi, this update hasn’t helped my situation. Could you take a look and advise what else it may be?
