Popup “further info”, like Wikipedia

I would like to create highlighted words in my text that will invoke a little popup window containing further information and maybe a small picture. Similar to how Wikipedia works with their “page previews” https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Page_Previews

Is there a plugin you would recommend that would do this?

My searches don’t seem to find anything – perhaps I’m not using the right phrases.
