• I would like to implement popup comments on my website. But there is a minor problem.
    1. When I click om the comments-link the comment window pops up just as I want it to (Good!)
    2. Having written my comment I click on the submit button and my comment is submitted (Good!)
    3. Not only the comments but the entire post and sidebar can be seen in the popup window (Bad!)
So the problem is that the popup window is loading the entire permalink (post, sidebar, header and comments) instead of just the comments.
What can I do? Any suggestions?

  • I’m having the same problem too, I hope someone could help us with this since my tagboard works funny when it appears on the comments pop up page(it wastes too much bandwidth because it refreshes every 1 sec[maybe less?]).

I too have this problem, and I can’t figure out how to fix it.
    Thanks.

I had the same problem and solved it as you propose, but now when posting a comment on an archived individual entry page, i.e. not in a popup, wp loads the popup code in the main browser window.
Is it possible at all to have popup comments on the main index and monthly archives but on-page comments under the individual post pages?

Thanks… but this puts both comment popup link and comments on archive pages ??

Upgraded to 1.2.1 a few days ago, and just noticed this problem when testing the comment form today. Isn’t there a good fix? Everything worked fine in 1.2… ??
