• I have a form with a few fields tied to different taxonomies. When I select “Populate with a Taxonomy”, it add an extra field to each list that’s just a letter, like “F”, “A” and “C”. Deleting them from the list of values doesn’t work (they come back) and they are not part of the taxonomies. Where are these coming from and how do I make them go away?

    Thanks!

Hi Terri, could you confirm that those letters are not terms in the taxonomy that you selected to populate the field with?

    Hi David,

Same problem here, it automatically adds an initial choice with first letter of first taxonomy term and blank value. So if “ABC” is the first term in a taxonomy, it goes:

    A (value ”)
    ABC (value 123)
    –ABC child #1 (value 456)
    –ABC child #2 (value 789)

If I manually rename the “A” to “Test”, it shows just “T” after saving the form.

    Best regards,
    Fredrik

Same here. Custom post type with with a custom taxonomie will add a extra entry with a letter for me it is A

I used WP Rollback to install 3.0.1 version again. Will hopefully look into new $args functionality in the future, it sounds nice.

@fredrik does this version not give you the same problem?

@mvaneijgen Right, it works for me that way

Was there ever a solution to this issue, I’m also seeing the same issue.

If I remove the random entry when I save the form another appears.

Hm, I have had any luck recreating this issue. A few questions for anyone able to recreate:

    1. What type of GF field are you using?
    2. What version of GF are you using?
    3. Does it only occur with hierarchical taxonomies or all taxonomies?
