Populate missing store details (State, Zip, Tel, etc.) using data from Google

  • Is it possible, when only entering some of the details for a store listing, to populate the remaining missing store details (e.g. State, Zip, Tel, etc.) using data from Google Maps?

    For example if I add a new store, but only enter the Address, City and Country – Is it possible to configure or modify the plugin so that the State, Zip, Tel, Fax, Email, Url & Opening Hours are automatically populated using data from Google Maps (assuming these details can be found for the store in question). Presumably this lookup would take place at the same time as the lookup that automatically populates the Latitude and Longitude fields.

    Maybe it’s technically possible, but I would have no idea how at the moment.

    The Google Maps API only returns the coordinates, not the state, zip, tel etc.

    Maybe an API exists that allows you to access that data from Google, but you will have to code it yourself to make it work.
