Popularity Contest Plugin (beta 3)

I tried your suggestion and it still didn’t work. :/ When I have the time I’ll examine your code and try to discover what’s the problem.

Sure:

– WordPress 1.5.1.2
– Original theme was Kubrik, which I modified
– Active plugins:

• CJD Spam Nuke
• Customizable Post Listings
• Gravatar
• Honeypot
• Spam Prevention Plugin: comment-post URL customization
• J???… Preview Plugin
• Excerpt Preview
• the_excerpt Reloaded
• Permalinks redirect

From all of these plugins, the only one which may somehow affect (only) the archives and category pages is the_excerpt Reloaded. I use it instead of the standard the_excerpt WordPress function to show post excerpts on those pages.

Yep, there’s your answer – the views are recorded in the_excerpt hook.

I really wanted this plug-in to work for me as it sounds wicked but as the other poster mentions it does not work with Event Calender 2 and WP-short stat.

As mentioned before, when those 2 plug-ins are disabled popularity plug-in works.

Anyone?

WordPress detected a link to one of my posts, but the Linkback field in the popularity statistics does not reflect the link (ita€?s still 0).

I’m using WP 1.5.1.1-beta with the Steam theme.

p.s. I installed the Beta 4 version of the plugin but the problem persists.

plugin. I’ve fixed the bug that was breaking the Popularity Contest plugin. The new version is EC2.3.3. Thanks to ‘elyonline’ for reporting the problem.

Still getting the:
‘The requested URL /wp-admin/options-general.php was not found on this server.’

as mentioned before it does not appear to be redirecting back to the folder I have WP in/

my set up is domain.com/wp/ and popularity directs to domain.com/ when I update option values.
