  • > Do you think you will ever make the popularity plug-in compatible with the WP-CACHE plug-in

The plugin has to use AJAX to make it possible. Hope someone is listening ??

    That’s not a bad idea.

Looks likes its the static front page plugin thats giving me grief… has something to do with me having to make a home.php file, etc…. so I’d say this is now ‘case closed’ for your popularity plugin. Thank you again for everything and the fix works perfectly. ??

    Cheers!

Actually, it still doesnt work… Im conflicted in thinking its either the Popularity Contests issue or the Static Front pages issue… But i’m not a programmer so I don’t know what could be causing it. I just don’t know how a page can be seen as a post, and counted by PC, yet other pages don’t mention it… its really weird.

“Static Front Page” sounds like a caching plugin to me…

Yep, thank you alex you were right… I took out that plugin and replaced it with “Page to Front” (which I don’t even think is around anymore) and that worked out just fine. ??

And thank you again for that bug fix.

For some strange reason, I can’t change the values and I can’t reset the counts. I get this error every time:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class ak_popularity_contest in /usr1/home/s/g/me/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/popularity-contest.php on line 66

    What’s the secret? ??

Sounds like the Popularity Contest plugin is getting imported a second time.

So what do I do about it? ??

    Thread Starter alexkingorg

    (@alexkingorg)

No idea – if you’ve got it activated twice, remove one version.

Well, it’s only on the plugins page once, only activated once, as far as I know….

Everytime I post I get this message:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/morlock/public_html/wp-content/plugins/popularity-contest.php on line 1290
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘)’ at line 3

What is wrong or what can i do?

Has anyone had a problem with this plugin on 2.0? Ever since I’ve upgraded Popularity Contest hasn’t logged a single hit.

    Hi,

    Wonderful plugin.
How do I prevent the plugin from counting Admin views? It counts everything that I do on the blog, and I would rather it wouldn’t… ??
