    We are using WP Popular posts plugin in multi-site WP environment; Our site has two language installations one in English and another in regional language; Notable point here is both sites have different set of posts i.e. article ( not translation or as such ) ; Popular posts plugin used to work correct on both installations from many months but lately showing one site’s popular posts in another site and vice versa due to cache issue we believe. We appreciate any tips or advise or support to fix this ; Thank you.

    Hi there!

    Our site has two language installations one in English and another in regional language;

    If I understand correctly, it’s one site with a multilingual plugin installed, correct? If so, it’s not weird that the widget will list posts in a different language than the currently active one. That’s the expected behavior: if you’re currently viewing the english version of the site, and there’s a post that doesn’t have an english translation, WPP will still list it.

    The idea here is that all posts should have a translation to the original language of the site. The multilingual support feature was built with this in mind. Problem is, as you already noticed, that people are using multilingual plugins with the idea of having two separate sites – a use case I didn’t take into account back then.

    Long story short: if I find a suitable way to cover both use cases (sites with translations and people who use multilingual to have two or more separate sites under a single setup), I’ll make it happen. For the time being, there’s nothing I can do to help out.

    Got a question for you since I’m curious: if you’re using WordPress MU, why not create a separate site instead of using a multilingual plugin?
