Hello, I set up a pop-up on button click, but it pops up without the form that’s embedded. It looks great until I go to the live site. What should I do?

It’s the “Member Free” most of the way down the page, green box on the left.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @agave1,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I checked and confirmed your Popup and found that it only has an image.
    See here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/nOuKJ1wp.

Before investigating further, could you please confirm which plugin you have used for your form?

I am looking forward to your response. Thank you.

Popups for Divi is the plugin I used for the popup. MailerLite is what I used for the form.

    Hi @agave1,

Thank you for your patience and plugin confirmation.

I checked, confirmed, and replicated your issue on our test site and found the “MailerLite” forms load only when the form is loaded successfully on the visual editor, or else it won’t load in the Popup.
    See here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zujKdZn

It seems there is an issue with the latest update of “MailerLite” with the “Popups for Divi,” which is causing an interruption with loading the JavaScript forms. I reported your issue to our development team.

Alternatively, to resolve your issue, you can switch to our “Divi Areas Pro” plugin, which supports all forms and integrations, including MailerLite. And have features such as different behavior and triggers.

I have also created a demonstration for you. I have created a newsletter signup form on the MailerLite site and embedded the same in the Popup I made in my “Divi Areas.”
    See here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/mXuDW6Ap

Please note that I clicked the MailerLite icon in the text editor to embed the MailerLite form.
    See here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/eDurKPjQ

And then, I linked the Popup to the button and successfully tested the same.

As you can see, the “MailerLite” forms load successfully via “Divi Areas Pro.”

You can find more information about the same here: https://divimode.com/divi-areas-pro/

You can also find various supported feature comparisons here: https://divimode.com/divi-popup/#comparison

Meanwhile, I look forward to our development team’s update regarding the “MailerLite” forms issue and will update you accordingly.

I hope this information helps. Please do not hesitate to ask any further questions. Thank you.

Thank you for the reply – unless the Divi Areas Pro is free, we don’t have the budget for that as we are a nonprofit.

Do you know when the issue might be fixed?

    Hi @agave1

After reviewing the Mailer Lite plugin in more detail, it turns out that it’s not really a bug or conflict between Mailer Lite and Popups for Divi, but rather a limitation of our free plugin:

Mailer Lite creates the signup form dynamically (via JavaScript) after the page loaded.

Such dynamic elements are not supported by Popups for Divi, but require Divi Areas Pro: After installing the premium plugin, all Popups will instantly support dynamic content without any further changes.

Since upgrading to Divi Areas Pro is not possible due to your budget, you can review your Mailer Lite form and see if there is a way to insert a “static form” (maybe there’s an option for that, you could also reach out to their support).

A more “Divi-ish” solution would be to remove the Mailer Lite form and instead use a Divi “Opt-In Module”. You can link your Opt-In module to the Mailer Lite account → https://www.elegantthemes.com/integrations/mailer-lite/

Please keep me updated on how this goes. Also, let us know if there’s anything else that you need help with.

p.s. as this is no bug, but a known limitation of our free plugin, I’m going to mark this thread as resolved for now. In case you feel the issue needs to be reviewed again, don’t hesitate to re-open this conversation
