I integrated with Mailchimp, added the API key, and set up the basic settings for the email connection pop up.

When I click on any of my blog posts (it’s set to show on all pages and all posts), it comes up after 20 seconds as per my settings, it has the GDPR tick box along with the name surname and email. When I click submit it says “Something went wrong, please try again.”

I have tested this over a few days. changed to a new API key I just generated, toggled the auto sign up to email list on and off, and nothing.

Please let me know what’s happening. It’s not pointing me towards a particular problem either so it’s a little frustrating. Would appreciate the help. Thanks!

  • This is the same issue I am having. I assume your API connection isn’t happening at all too?

I’ve ended up scrapping the Mailchimp connection part of this plugin and just embedded a Mailchimp Form (you can do this form the Embed Forms part of Mailchimp – get the code to insert, that is). If you need a work around.

I’m convinced its a problem with the actual plugin because I recreated the same error across three separate domains, uninstalled plugins, downgraded wordpress, the lot. Nothing worked!

    Thanks, will try that!

And yeah, given the lack of a reply as well, it is the plugin.

My API works, I assume so as it fetches the different lists/audiences I have in mailchimp. I then select the list I need, and set up is fine. It’s when testing that it says something is wrong.

Going to uninstall and try the embed and different pkugins whichever works best.

    Thanks for the tip!

    Hello @nurhaji ,

I’m sorry about the issue with the Hustle plugin.

That problem can happen with another form on the same page. Is it possible you could check on the different page where there is no search form? Just as a test.
If this still wont be working can you share the test url with us? Right now there is no form on the blog page.

@ytimid – Your issue described in your ticket is different. Please follow up on your ticket.

    kind regards,
    Kasia
