    1. [ redundant link removed ]
    2. The pop-up is supposed to appear
    3. The pop-up does not appear, but I do get some auto-scroll indicating that something is supposed to, or is trying to, happen.
    4. Any of the ‘About Me’ text is linked to bring up a popup with that person’s bio.

    Backstory:
This content was imported from another wordpress install. On the previous install I used the Divi Builder plugin, inside of what I call a “franken-theme” that I inherited at my job. You can see that page here: https://healthlinx.com/our-team/ where pop-up maker is working.

In the new, clean wordpress install I have the full Divi theme. I have utilized Divi’s Theme Builder to build a Global Footer. I am unsure if this then would prevent or stop the wp_footer from appearing/functioning, which I saw is necessary for Popup Maker to work. I don’t know how the Global Footer operates or inserts it operates or inserts itself.

I’ve tried opening the debug tool and inspecting things, but I am not a developer. Just a designer with base level knowledge and unfortunately looking at the console makes my head spin a little.

Any advice so that I don’t have to re-build all my pop-ups with a different plugin?

    @cmitan – Happy to help.

    1. The #popmake links in each bio are set up correctly, but your theme is attempting to smooth scroll them. If that can’t be disabled in the theme on these links, you can change the links a <button class=”popmake-123″> or a <span class=”popmake-123″> instead of a link, or check out our docs for various other methods of making click triggers.

    2. Footer looks fine. Just the smooth scroll issue that I’m seeing.

When I manually remove the smoothscroll using the browser tools, the popups open fine, so that is the only issue I’m seeing.

Hope that helps. If your issue is resolved please take a moment to rate and review the plugin or support.

I’m sorry for coming back but… I couldn’t find anything in the documentation to help beyond what you already described, which isn’t working. Maybe I’m missing something.

Smooth scrolling is turned off on my theme, so I contacted the Theme’s support. They said that the trigger was conflicting with the way the theme handles anchor links (also with “#achor-link-name” similar to linking “Popmake-123”).

So, I tried the alternative ways you suggested to created the trigger:

The <span class=”popmake-123″> did not seem to create a link with the text to trigger the popup.

The button class created a button but no pop-up was triggered. I also would not want the text to appear as a button, here or other places on the site where I would like to use popups via trigger. I suppose I can solve that via CSS though.

You can see where I tried both methods on Julie and Matt Berry on this page here:

    Thank you for your help!

Ohh I gave it the class, but I did not in turn add the class to the click open trigger settings when in the Edit Pop-up area.

I see now, and have fixed the issue- Woo!

Thank you again for your help ??

    Hi cmitan,
where do I find that settings?
