Hi there – we updated Pop-up maker today and now we cannot add any content into the Content/MCE field of any posts or pages until we save a draft.

    Console shows the following:
    ReferenceError: pum_admin is not defined

Deactivating Pop-up maker resolves the issue.

  • Yes please! I’m having the same problem! Amazing plugin but this a serious bug…

But thanks for the tip, brightestspark! I didn’t know saving a draft can be used as a temp fix. At least I don’t have to keep disabling/enabling the plugin until the fix arrives. Thank you so much!

Had the same thing when working on a site, which thankfully wasn’t live. Doesn’t conflict with drafts or editing of older posts, but when adding a new post there’s a conflict with the TinyMCE Editor after the update.

I’m having the same problem as well.

@brightestspark, @amrkhalifeh, @tyler Johnson, @jill Anderson – Thank you guys for reporting the issue. After getting some much needed sleep I am back at it today and will be patching issues as fast as possible today. If any of you are able to test fixes before I push an update that doesn’t fix it please email me support at wppopupmaker.com

Thank you guys for the extra info, to clarify if you can tell me if this is all correct that would be helpful:

    – Only have issues on new post/pages
    – No issues on edit page/post
    – No issues on new popup editor

have the same problem. great plugin, but needs a fix since wordpress 4.5 ?? it is not possible to write content, only after deactivation of the plugin.

    i can confirm:
    – the issue is only when writing new pages
    – no issues to edit a post

also the issues appear on both chrome and firefox

    Hey Daniel,

Correct, it’s only an issue on new posts/pages. There’s no issue when editing posts or on the new pop-up editor.

@istrauser, @tyler Johnson – Thank you both, I know exactly what the issue is, should be a simple fix now that you have clarified. Look for it in v1.4.6 later today. (couple hours likely).

many thanks danieliser, appreciate the great support!

@istrauser – Not a problem, I would ask that you guys sign up for our newsletter as well, we need beta testers badly. We had v1.4 in public beta for over 2 months and didn’t find any of these issues sadly.

Thanks danieliser! The visual editor is now working properly; however, I’m seeing 2 format dropdowns. I added a format dropdown box via my functions.php file to include a few extra styles.

    Here’s a screenshot.

Disabling the plugin makes the extra format dropdown go away.

Love your work @danieliser. Thanks all fixed.

@jill Anderson – that’s a separate issue so you should start a new thread.

I’ll start a new thread. Thanks brightestspark!
