I have been using Pop Up Maker with Beaver Builder Plugin (Standard Version), there were no issues so far, but recently site started slowing down and crash, now site is almost down, When I deactivate the Plugin, site works fine, but I am using a lot of pop-ups in my website, so I need both the plugins.

    I am using
    Beaver Builder Plugin (Standard Version)2.1.0.1
    Popup Maker Version 1.7.16

Is there a fix for this?

@salihkulangara – The key is likely “using a lot of popups”, but you likely did not set up any targeting for them, so if you have 50 popups, the are all 50 loading on every page of your site hidden in the footer.

Targeting helps limit where each will load.

The popups are not the issue (ever). We have tested 1000+ popups on a page with no noticeable slowdowns. Now if you add a lot of content to all 1000 popups then of course the site will never load. The contents though are the heavy part, not the popups. Just FYI.

    Hope that helps.

by saying A lot of Pop Ups I meant a max of 10. all of them having not a lot of contents, have only two three paragraphs, or a single image or a form that’s it. If I deactivate Pop Up maker everything works again.

@salihkulangara – Can you clarify exactly what is happening? A slow loading page is not the same thing as a “crash, now site is almost down” situation. They are in fact completely the opposite. If the browser is getting served a page and taking time to download it, that is well after the server already sent back everything needed.

One happens when you start to load a page, the other happens when the server sends back the rendered page and the browser starts downloading everything to make it show up properly.

If its the latter, the only issues I can possibly think of without seeing it would be that the contents are causing a slow down like I mentioned before.

What happens if you mark all your popups as draft and enable one at a time. Is any one particular popup causing more of an issue than the others?
