    Our calendar is now pulling in events great, everything seems to be functioning, except for the pop up information window when an event is clicked.

    For some reason the event window will float at the very bottom of the page, if it appears at all. Often times only a small box with an arrow appear.

    When the page is initially loaded, depending on your window size, the information window may pop up correctly, but scrolling down or adjusting the window size will relocate where the window appears, and depending on these factors, sometimes it appears at the very bottom of the screen – miles away from the event day and event link.

    I’m assuming this has something to do with plugin / theme interaction.

    Is there a way to tie the popup window to the text or the event day itself? And prevent it from floating off down the page?

    I browsed the CSS, but again, I’m not savvy with code, and wasn’t really sure where to start, or if CSS is even a remedy to this issue.

    The popup should be basing it’s position off of the event title already. It might be a conflict with something else. Try running through this to see if it fixes it: https://docs.simplecalendar.io/troubleshooting-theme-plugin-widget-conflicts/

    Then if it does work correctly you can re-activate everything one at a time to figure out what is causing the issue. If it still isn’t working then we will have to look deeper into the issue to see what might be happening.

    Looks like the issue is definitely tied to the theme.

    I activated the Twenty Fifteen WP theme and the popup box floats right underneath the event title as it should.

    If it helps, our page theme is Salient. It’s a full width style theme that uses Visual Composer to manage and arrange various page elements.

    I currently have the Event Calendar shortcode placed inside a text “module” on the page.

    Any help with this would be awesome. Currently the way the pop up is so far removed from the hover location renders the calendar useless.

    Have you narrowed it down to what in the theme is causing the issue? What theme is it that you are using? Have you contacted them to see if there is something they would suggest?

    I’m having the same problem, you can see it even in your demo site: https://demo.simplecalendar.io/grid-view/

    Our page theme is Salient.

    I have not yet contacted them to see if we can remedy the issue. I’ve switched the calendar view to List to circumvent the issue temporarily, but would much rather utilize the grid view long-term.

    I can contact them to see if the issue can be remedied from a theme standpoint.

    This theme does allow the utilization of custom CSS, if that helps.

    Same here. Currently designing a new site in Salient. The popup box when you hover over an event works great before you scroll. If you scroll a little, the box will popup far lower. If you scroll further, the hover box will appear lower. If you scroll a whole page down, the hover is so far off of the page that it can’t be seen. Any easy way to remedy this? many thanks!

    I can’t currently give you a link to the site we are developing, but the issue is certainly the same as the ones listed above.

    I’m using the Origamiez theme and am having the same issue. Can’t fix it with css. Any help would be appreciated.

    What browser are you experiencing the issue in? Or is it seeming like it is just theme related?

    For me, the problem happens in Chrome, but does not happen in firefox. It seems to be happening with multiple themes from what I’m reading above, but am wondering if there’s a fix, since I love your plugin and it works smoothly in every other way.

    A temporary URL which shows the problem (site is still being designed)…

    https://www.isuencounter.org.php56-13.dfw3-1.websitetestlink.com/events/

    Again – it works correctly until I begin to scroll down. The further I scroll, the lower the hover command creates the popup.

    What browser/OS are you using?

    It happens with all browsers: Chrome 47, IE 11, Firefox 43

    @nducciuredda,

    Ok that is a different issue it seems. I will be looking into that.

    @bencounter,

    Have you tried running through this: https://docs.simplecalendar.io/troubleshooting-theme-plugin-widget-conflicts/

    I think this is a theme issue. Maybe you can contact the theme developer for suggestions and let me know what they say. If we need to fix something on our side we will, but if it’s something out of our control there isn’t much we can do about it.

    Hi! I have same problem, only in Chrome 47.0.2526.111 m (64-bit) .. On Firefox its work great, bubble position is good, and even in IE its ok!

    Just like bencounter said, no page scroll = no problem
