Pop-up cart after adding product to cart – not working

  • Hey there!

    Problem
    I am recently working for 2 weeks on my new online shop and till yesterday everything worked quite well. However, at one point in the evening in which I didn’t work on my website, the cart on the right top doesn’t pop-up anymore when I add a product in the cart. Furthermore, when I add a product into my cart, the picture row underneath gets shifted.

    What I tried
    Those problems didn’t occur 12 hours ago – to make sure, i have deactivated all the plugins except for Woocommerce which still didn’t change anything.
    I then created a new subdomain and put a new Woocommerce-theme on it and even on that the pop-up cart doesn’t work.

    Question
    What can I do to make the cart pop up again after adding a product into the cart? Was there maybe a new update – if so, how can i reverse that?

    I would be glad for any any comments, suggestions or tips!

  • By default in Storefront, adding a product to the cart should not show a popup. You can see that here in this demo: https://themes.woocommerce.com/storefront/product-category/electronics/

    Adding any product to the cart will update the cart in the top right of the screen, but it will not show anything else until you hover over it:

    Is that what you’re referring to? If your site worked different from that, could it be that the cart popup came from another plugin?

    Wow, thank you for your quick answer!

    I am still wondering how that’s possible because at the beginning when clicking on an add-to-cart-button and then clicking on another add-to-cart-button, the former button would then disappear. However, this is also not working anymore (and apparently maybe also a default?)

    Do you know any plugins which could make this automatic cart pop-up after adding a product and only show one add-to-cart button for the whole page? (I am still very confused because it just worked before and somehow it has changed.. I even put on a backup from 2 days ago and the functionality aren’t there anymore as well).

    Would be glad for any help and thank you already in advance!
