Pop open to lightbox

I thought I posted this earlier but I have not seen it come up on the board.

I have a gallery on the front of my website and it has 6 albums in it. If I click a thumb it reloads the entire front page and displays the thumbs for that album.

Is it possible to have it just click open to a lightbox without having to reload the entire page?
