• I have tried leaving my honest experience of my use of NextGEN so that potential customers aren’t faced with the same grief I was. However, the moderators remove any negative comments for vanity sake I can only imagine.

My experience with NextGEN in 2010 was great, I loved it, but after a few years I was having so many server-side issues the RAM usage on my server was causing the entire website load slowly even on pages that didn’t have the gallery on, however immediately fixed when disabling the plugin, I received very little support when flagging my issues with the team, which drove me away from the plugin altogether.
By then WordPress had upgraded their WPML significantly so there was no point in bulking down my installation with unnecessary bulk.

Lastly, my advice to those reading looking to install this plugin let me tell you this much: When I asked for support or transparency in migrating out of the NextGEN ecosystem, they told me they had no interest in supporting customers who wish to leave. How would you expect positive reviews if you leave a once happy user of your product, disgruntled and inconvenienced.
