• I typically compress my images before I upload them to WordPress using compresspng.com or compressjpg.com.

After converting them to webP I’ve noticed that the images look distorted and the overall quality is quite poor. How can this be fixed? What are the right settings?

    Current general settings
    Scope: all content
Image types to convert: both jpegs and pngs
    Destination folder: mingled
    File extention: append “.webp”
    Destination structure: document root
    Cache-control header: do not set

I’m using Cloudflare, so the operation mode is set to CDN friendly. For the conversion method, Imagick and Gd extension are checked green.
