    Hi

I upload hi res high quality images of my products, (e.g. 2000 x 2000 px 1 Mb) which are sharp and crisp in the original file – and yet on the store and on product pages the image is losing significant amount of sharpness and focus, even when I disable compression. The image theme settings don’t seem to have any effect.

Could you please advise what seems to be the issue here.

    thanks

  • Hi @magicpowers ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that your product images are losing sharpness and focus, even when using hi-res and disabling compression, is this correct?

After checking your site, here is what I see:

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of the original image you have uploaded, as well as what you are seeing on your end on the product page?

Snipboard.io can be used for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on that page, then paste the URL in this thread.

Also, whenever a new theme is activated or image dimension settings are changed, old thumbnails need to be regenerated under WooCommerce → Status → Tools → Regenerate Shop Thumbnails

Additionally, you can read more about Fixing Blurry Product Images in our support documentation.

    Cheers!

    Hi @beautyofcode

    Thanks for your reply.

The issue was with the theme settings which has now been sorted out with a custom CSS, and I was able to adjust the size of the product image on the product page and thumbnails, so now every image is sharp.

    thanks again!
