Poor Monetization Strategy
-
One of the most popular plugins fails to understand monetization by trying to charge for viewing statistics, even when there are fantastic free alternatives available. They seem to prefer losing users and receiving negative reviews in exchange for a useless subscription. A smarter approach would be to use ad-based monetization within the statistics feature, potentially earning far more revenue than through subscriptions. For example, why aim to make $1,000 from 100 customers when you could earn $10 million through ad revenue by keeping the plugin free? This is a poorly executed and misguided strategy.
