• One of the most popular plugins fails to understand monetization by trying to charge for viewing statistics, even when there are fantastic free alternatives available. They seem to prefer losing users and receiving negative reviews in exchange for a useless subscription. A smarter approach would be to use ad-based monetization within the statistics feature, potentially earning far more revenue than through subscriptions. For example, why aim to make $1,000 from 100 customers when you could earn $10 million through ad revenue by keeping the plugin free? This is a poorly executed and misguided strategy.

    Hi @pcdeveloper

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sharing it directly with our product team.

We’ve had to make the difficult decision to introduce a paid version of Jetpack Stats version to ensure the product’s sustainability. We’re actively investing in enhancing the Stats feature, and you’ll see more improvements in the future. This change allows us to maintain quality, cover development costs, and continue adding new features.

However, we still provide free stats for completely non-commercial sites, along with many other free features within Jetpack. If you share your site address with us, we can check if it qualifies for free stats and can make the changes for your site.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
