Poor Google Insights results, still

  • I’m very much a novice at web design and WP. After looking at speed test on a few different sites, including Google Insights I installed WP-Super Cache, watched a few tutorials on setting recommendations which I set in the plugin.

    This is a site that is very heavy on photos and I’ve optimized the pics prior to loading them and again with EWWW Image Optimizer plugin.

    The site does seem to be loading more quickly but still when I run test on the site I get horrible ratings. 36/100 Mobile and 46/100 Desktop according to Google Insights.

    Will the changes that I made show up right away when running these test? I don’t understand much of if any of the suggestions being made to improve the speed. Again, seems to be loading more quickly to me.
