I’m posting based on the Free version. This post belongs here.

I’ve been trying out the free version, and recently upgraded.

I DO NOT recommend this product for anybody. It’s cheap, but that’s all there is, cheap quality. There are a number of glaring issues. I’m surprised the author rests his reputation on a poor product.

A web developer accustomed to Elementor or any other page builders (i.e. no code) will be very frustrated due to CSS requirement.

An accomplished developer accustomed to PHP and CSS will also be very frustrated due to lack of user manual, much less developer documentation.

From a technical standpoint, it is extremely difficult to use:
    1. You must be well versed in CSS to be able to style anything. There are CSS styling blocks everywhere. Want to make the select filter square instead of the round default? Go do some CSS!
    2. You must know undocumented or ill-documented configuration to make something work. The only way to know is to open a ticket and hope they’ll respond (with the correct answer?).
    3. The documentation is rife with non-sense words, sentences, paragraphs.
    4. The product information page is horrifying, it is like a junior advertising apprentice barfed whatever words that came up, there is no real information, just marketing jargon.

I spent 1 week trying to make this work, without success. When I thought I got something working, a bug rears its ugly head. It’s really by design, “oh you need to set this …” which I gathered from the poor documentation.

The documentation consist of some 5-10 web pages, accompanied by a few demo sites, which DOES NOT include the explanation of how to make the demo sites!!! It’s very frustrating to see a demo and yet not know how to learn what is involved in the configuration.

Technically, it has the features I want, but not being able to use it, makes that a moot point. Case in point, I have some 12 questions I just submitted tickets for.

Lastly, I took a chance and purchased this cheap at CodeCanyon. I DO NOT recommend purchasing anything there. I’ve purchased 2 items there, this and a UTX menu. Both were pretty much DOA despite the promises.

    Hello

    I’m not agree with you

It is impossible to create a plugin that is suitable for all users and all themes by style. it’s also impossible to make all styles customizable. there is always a user and a theme for which these settings do not fit.
So to implement your unique template you need CSS customization

And the main function of this plugin is filtering, and the plugin is developing in this direction

The documentation consist of some 5-10 web pages – it is not true. Docs – https://products-filter.com/ – this site contains over 120 articles on plugin configuration

which DOES NOT include the explanation of how to make the demo sites!!! – The video shows how to create a demo site- https://products-filter.com/video-tutorials#video_beGT6p_look

What I need is extremely simple. I want a taxonomy filter, about 5 taxonomies, hierarchically. Styled as square boxes.

    My steps were:
    1. Install plugin, go to WooCommerce -> Setting -> WOOF.
    2. Check the taxonomies I want filtering for.
    3. Save
    4. That’s it, nothing else.

What I get is 3 rows of the taxonomies I selected, good. Bad, it has rounded corners. I want square corners. I want to specify height and width. Where do I set those parameters? If you say it’s on this abc page, that’s not a good answer. Those settings must be in the easily accessible in the plugin.

    Filtering:
    1. I chose a term in taxonomy 1.
    2. I clicked open taxonomy 2.
Bad, it does not show a filtered list of taxonomy 2 terms. This must show taxonomy 2 terms of products that also has taxonomy 1.

    It’s just broken. Fix it.

About the demo site … I’ve seen it https://demo.products-filter.com/

It looks pretty cool, it even has some semblance of Mega Menu.

Unfortunately there is not a handy tutorial I can follow to learn how to use WOOF features.

I got excited seeing the hierarchical filter, but could not find a complete coherent tutorial for it.

    The same for step-by-step.

Please organize your site and content better. Consider using written tutorial so customers can follow by copy and pasting. Videos while attractive can miss a lot of detail.

    Hello

You’re using a premium plugin which isn’t supported here. Write to the site of the author of this plugin – https://pluginus.net/support/forum/woof-woocommerce-products-filter/

It’s just broken. Fix it. – it looks like you configured the plugin incorrectly.

Bad, it has rounded corners. I want square corners. I want to specify height and width. Where do I set those parameters? – the plugin does not have such settings. You need css customization

Please organize your site and content better.
    – I will pass this to the plugin author
