• The people that maintain this plugin do a terrible job of responding to questions. I’ve found them to be argumentative and aggressive. There are many plugins that provide this basic function, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

    Who are they? It’s just me. ??

    I do a great job at answering support questions. I go out of my way and even log into people sites and fix their out-of-scope problems for them at times.

    My guess is, what you mean is that, yes I get angry at people sometimes for things like refusing to read the sticky posts. People who write negative review like claiming my plugin “is not usable” because a specific feature they made up in their heads is not there. Would be great if you had examples or tell what exactly you mean.

    Did I do something to you? Did have a support question where I did not help you or acted aggressive without justification?

    What you get here is real!. You won’t see some fake nice answers to every single person. There are companies with dedicated support people who are trained in giving those fake nice apologetic answers to everyone who does not deserve them. Sorry that I am unable to do that and that I can not afford a support person.

    And how is this a “plugin review”? Not one word about the plugins itself.

    There are many plugins that provide this basic function, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

    ARVEs functions go beyond basic. I am not keeping taps on competing plugins but I would bet there is no plugin that does all the functions ARVE offers in this nice clean and simple way supporting basically almost all video host out there. No tone that is maintained for 8 years continues to improve.

    Most people will never even need to ask a question, if please come over to nextgenthemes.com/support and fill out the form I have specifically hand coded to ask all the questions to make helping you easy.

    But I guess my long answer get filed under “argumentative” now … but thanks this is really what I need right now after working over a year of the next major versions of this plugin.

    I looked you up and here is what came up:

    It seems you failed to cancel your subscription, claimed about “unauthorized charges” later, claimed you send emails I never received, used the contact form that is specifically marked as NOT for support questions for a support question.

    But I am the bad guy for calling you out on it. I get it now.

    For what it’s worth to you guys, besides Demonjax, Nico has been beyond amazing on support. Kind of to the point where I wonder how he has time to give so much attention. I’m no one special and he has given me solid tips over the past 5 years. Give this plugin a shot, if you like the free, the Pro is even more awesome and cheap AND LIFETIME. And no, I’m not paid and I don’t work for NextGenThemes.
