PolyLang with multiple domains failed backups

  • Hi,

    We use ShortPixel on a WooCommerce webshop with PolyLang and multiple domains for each language.
    Shortpixel fails to backup images that are uploaded to the secondary language (English – https://flowers-holland.com/). All images for the primary language (Dutch – https://debloemist.nl/) are working fine.

    Both languages are hosted on the same server/hosting package and share the same uploads folder.
    Do we need to apply different settings for each language or is ShortPixel out of the box compatible with PolyLang?

    Hello @wbrnd,

    We had several attempts to make our plugin compatible with PolyLang but failed because there were several changes in their code that were messing with our integration. In other words, at this moment, PolyLang isn’t officially supported/integrated with our plugin, and situations like the one you are describing can appear.

    We can give it another try and see if things look better now (especially in terms of hooks and actions that we can use in PolyLang). I can’t give any estimates of any type, because it depends on many things. And just as a side question: are you using the free version, or the Pro one?

    @petredobrescu Thank you for your reply and detailed information about the PolyLang support. We’ll keep an eye out for future updates. We use the pro version in combination with WooCommerce.
